In the state of Tabasco in the South of Mexico, we are living what may be the worst catastrophe that the country has ever seen. More than a million people have been affected, having to abandon their homes, losing their belongings, and their livelihoods.

We have begun to deliver immediate support for basic needs. As soon as possible we will travel to the area in order to establish a longer term support structure, most likely including medical support, food, home rebuilding, (possibly even land purchase for relocation) and the reactivation of the affected people’s means of production.

If you are interested in continuing to receive news and/or participating with support for Tabasco, please send an email to jenn@amextra.org, check out www.myspace.com/amextra and donate through the web page www.amextra.org or send a check to Amextra, Inc. 901 Pershing Ave. Wheaton, IL 60187
